Jamie Lloyd's reinvention of Much Ado About Nothing broke box office records at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane, earned a wave of five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph, the Financial Times, and Time Out (who named it their #1 show of the year), and picked up four Critics' Circle Award nominations along the way. Now the entire London cast and creative team reunite on Broadway for a strictly limited ten-week run, with Tom Hiddleston as Benedick and Hayley Atwell, in her Broadway debut, as Beatrice.

Shakespeare's sharpest comedy follows two sworn enemies of love who trade insults so well that their friends conspire to trick them into falling for each other. Lloyd, the Tony-winning director of Sunset Boulevard, turns it into a full-on dance party: pink confetti, pounding 90s pop, and two movie stars having the time of their lives while finding real tenderness underneath all the banter.

We'll meet for drinks and snacks nearby before the show, then settle in together. Field Trip events are intentionally small, so it's easy to actually meet people and have a real conversation.

What to expect

Where are the seats?

We're sitting together in center Mezzanine, rows E and F, so the whole group is side by side with a great view of all that pink confetti.

Do people usually come alone?

Yes. Most attendees come solo, looking to meet other people who love theater around NYC.

How long does the event last?

We'll meet about an hour before the show for drinks. The show itself runs approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes with one intermission.

Why this show?

This is the hottest ticket of the Broadway fall: a record-breaking, five-star London hit with two of the most charismatic actors alive, here for just ten weeks before it closes January 10.
