"A thrillingly original new musical" -- The New York Times, Critic's Pick

Wanted has been building toward this moment for years.

It premiered as Gun & Powder at Signature Theatre in 2020, where the world premiere run sold out, then earned a New York Times Critic's Pick at Paper Mill Playhouse in 2024.

It's Texas, 1893. Twin sisters Mary and Martha Clarke are on the run. As Black women who pass for white and hide in plain sight, they straddle a dangerous line between two Americas. It's the mostly true story of two women who went from farm girls to outlaws to legends, and it's personal: book writer and lyricist Angelica Chéri is a real-life descendant of the Sisters Clarke.

Solea Pfeiffer and Liisi LaFontaine star, with Grammy winner Ledisi and Grammy nominee Luke James, directed by Tony nominee Stevie Walker-Webb.

We'll meet for drinks and snacks nearby before the show, then settle in together. Field Trip events are intentionally small, so it's easy to actually meet people and have a real conversation.

What to expect

Where are the seats?

We'll be seated together as a group at the James Earl Jones Theatre, side orchestra, rows K-O.

Do people usually come alone?

Yes. Most attendees come solo, looking to meet other people who love theater around NYC.

How long does the event last?

We'll meet about an hour before the show for drinks. The show itself runs approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes with one intermission.

Why this show?

New musicals with this much momentum are rare. Wanted sold out its world premiere and earned a New York Times Critic's Pick before ever reaching Broadway, and this fall is your chance to see it in its first Broadway season, before the rest of the city catches on.
